Temp Mail for Instagram
Instagram sends a confirmation code to the email or mobile number you sign up with. Choose email, paste the address below, and the code arrives here. Instagram asks for an email "only you can access", which is the catch with a throwaway.

Setting up your inbox
Creating the account
- In the app, tap Create New Account and choose email address.
- Paste the temporary address from above.
- Type in the confirmation code Instagram emails you.
You can also make a new account from an existing Facebook or Instagram account. That links the two in Meta's Accounts Centre, which defeats the point of a separate address.
Later checks on the address
Instagram's help lists when it may ask you to confirm your email or phone again: if you added one and never confirmed it, if time has passed since you last updated it, if your device suggests one, or if you haven't added one at all. Each of those checks sends something to the address on the account.
On a temp address that check reaches nobody once the inbox has gone. That's the real risk here, more than whether the sign-up form takes the address.
If the code doesn't show up
- Instagram has no help article for missing sign-up codes that we could find. Its advice for missing reset emails applies: check the address for typos, and that mail from @instagram.com isn't being filtered.
- Ask for the code again from the sign-up screen and use the newest one.
- We found no public statement that Instagram blocks disposable email. Our domains are on the public disposable list, so it might.
Moving the account to a real address
Change it in Settings, then Accounts Centre, Profiles and personal details. Instagram emails the new address to accept and the old one, from security@mail.instagram.com, with a link to deny. Do it while you can still read this inbox.

How many Instagram accounts can I have?
Instagram lets you stay logged in to up to ten at once. Its terms forbid creating accounts in an automated way or for someone else without permission.
Is a temp address OK for a business or creator account?
No. Security alerts and login codes go to that address, and an account people follow is worth keeping. Use an alias or a permanent address.
