    Temp Mail for Gemini

Gemini has no sign-up of its own. You use it with a Google Account, and some features work without signing in at all. A temp address only comes in if you create a separate Google Account with it, so this page is really about that.

For throwaway signups only. Don't use a temp address for banking, medical or anything sensitive.

Making a Google Account with a non-Gmail address

When you create a Google Account you can take a new Gmail address, use a phone number, or use an email address you already have. The third option is where a temp address goes.

    1. Start creating a Google Account and choose to use your existing email instead of a new Gmail address.
    2. Paste the address from the inbox above.
    3. Google sends a verification code. You can't finish without it, so keep this tab open.
    4. Sign in to Gemini with the new account.

    Phone checks

Google's help says it sometimes requires phone verification before you create an account or sign in, to confirm you're a real person, and that each number can only verify a limited number of accounts. A temp email doesn't change that.

    The recovery problem

A Google Account made on a temp address has that address as its contact and recovery email. Once the inbox is gone, any check Google sends there, on a new device or after a password reset request, goes nowhere. One Google Account can also hold Drive, YouTube and other Google services, so losing it can cost more than a chat history.

If you keep the account, add a recovery address and phone you control in your Google Account settings while you still can.

    Google's verification email is missing

    • The sender is account-verification-noreply@google.com.
    • Sign in to the new account and request another verification email from the "Account verification needed" prompt.
    • A typo in the address can mean starting the account again, so compare it with the one shown above.

    Questions

Can I try Gemini without any account?

Google says some features in the Gemini web app work without signing in. That is the most private option if you only want to try it.

Will Google refuse a disposable address?

We found no public Google policy on it. Google can still ask for a phone number before it lets you finish, whatever address you use.

    Is there an age limit?

Personal Google Accounts follow Google's normal age rules, and Gemini with a work account needs you to be 18 or over.
