    Temp Mail for Discord

Discord asks for an email, a username, a password and your date of birth, then sends a verification email to the address. That email lands in the inbox below. Some servers want more than a verified email before you can post, and this page lists what.

    Registering on Discord

On a computer or in the browser you register with email, username, password and date of birth, and a CAPTCHA may pop up. The mobile app asks for a phone number or an email address first. Each email can belong to one Discord account at a time.

Discord's verification email asks you to follow its steps, and its help says it can expire. Official mail comes from notifications@discord.com, support@discord.com or noreply@discord.com.

    What servers can require

Each server sets a verification level. Until you meet it, you can't send messages or join voice there.

    • Low: a verified email.
    • Medium: an email verified for more than 5 minutes.
    • High: also on Discord for more than 5 minutes and in the server for more than 10.
    • Highest: all of that plus a verified phone number.

Discord can also ask any account to verify after things like joining many servers quickly or messaging lots of strangers. Its help says the phone number can't already be on another account, and burner, VoIP and landline numbers are refused.

    Verification email not here?

    1. Wait a moment with this tab open. The inbox refreshes on its own.
    2. In Discord, open User Settings, then My Account, and press Resend Verification Email. On mobile it's the Verify banner under Account.
    3. Discord suggests trying a different device, or mobile data instead of wifi.
    4. Its support team can't send verification emails by hand, so if nothing arrives after a resend, use an address you keep.

    Changing the email later

You can change it in User Settings, then My Account, but Discord's help says you need access to the current inbox and support can't do it for you. Discord then emails the old address a 48-hour link to undo the change. Do it before this tab closes if you plan to keep the account and its servers.

We found no public statement that Discord blocks disposable email. Our domains are on the public disposable list, though, so a refusal is possible.

    Questions

Does a temp email get me past a phone requirement?

No. A server set to the Highest level, or a Verification Required prompt, needs a real phone number that isn't on another account.

How old do I need to be?

At least 13, and up to 16 in some countries. Discord says underage accounts are suspended.

Can I open new accounts if I've been banned?

No. Discord's community guidelines forbid creating new accounts to get round its enforcement, and say each account must belong to a human.
